What additions or changes would you suggest to our website?

It's pretty good already. Some kind of mini-blog for comments, might help us know more about each other.

Roster for members only

An Activism Box where members can enter upcoming pertinent events that does not require an additional step into the private/members' page

Include the newsletter

I would like to see a resources tab, or something similar, with a link to the YouTube channel and to other organizations who have connections with this group (AHA, Santa Fe Free Thinkers, etc.)

Are there member activities you suggest we begin or enhance?

How about a roster of social media profiles for 'each' member?

Coffee klatsch groups

A hard copy of a member roster

Annual donation to a cause members may nominate and vote on

Music outings for all genres including Blues and Jazz

Smaller discussion groups

Organize a group travel event for members to an interesting attraction...domestic and foreign.

Socialization important to Health

Board and card games in person, sporting events, city tours, learning classes for crafts or hobbies

Sign-up list for speaking, so time limits can be on speaking

What else do you want our organization’s leaders to know?

The list of social media platforms left out the fediVerse, *unfortunately*! Fediverse\mastodon is more important than BlueSky for me. Enlightened humanism ought to embrace the fediVerse ... or raise awareness of what is happening there.

You are doing a fine job!

You are doing a good job. Thank you.

I appreciate all you do. Really, it's a high-functioning organization, IMHO.

You're doing a great job.

Thank you for the great work you are doing.

What ideas do you have for our social (Night Out) gatherings?

A visit to City Council (daytime)

Charlene has done a great job in 2025. Gatherings as humble\simple as a movie at the Guild are worthwhile!

I like the sound of group hikes, but have not yet joined.

Comedy club, jazz/dance at Veterans Memorial Park

Live dance music venues

Ask members for ideas each month and select an idea first meeting of each month

A play at the Adobe Theater or dinner at a local restaurant.

Museums

Harvey House Museum and lunch at café next door in Belen

What topics would you like to see discussed at our third Saturday topical meeting?

For open discussions to work for me, there needs a little more structure. IMO, social gatherings are improved by simple protocols for 'give and take'. And yes, this does require a meeting moderator. Random example: the Talking Stick is wise protocol.

What is your elevator speech description of humanism?

Humanist Politicians

My question: Are citizens complicit in their government’s actions?

How should we address lack of younger membership

Ideas to attract younger members

Health and human behavior

Homelessness

Who would you suggest as a speaker in 2026?

Tim Keller

Let's raise awareness of the attention economy and how to respond it. (What kind of social media to promote - not FB!!)

Speaker from EOLONM

New member Jay (?). his life and poetry

Albuquerque Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Gabriella Blakey

A Universalist pastor to explain their religious beliefs

Rachel Laser

Eve Espey, MD
